1 YEAR OLD! The day you turned ONE!

Oh little man! Our little man. You are ONE!!! We are so excited to celebrate you today!! One year ago you came into our world after 9 months of wondering if you were a boy or a girl, wondering what you would look like, what your temperament would be. Here we are. You are one of the sweetest little men we know. Yes we could be totally biased but you are an absolute delight. You are funny, caring, tender hearted who likes to snuggle and who is very much like your daddy. We are so excited to see how you develop over the next 12 months. You will eventually walk, talk and all those good things but we are just enjoying where you at right in the here and now :-) Plenty of time for all of that.

The cool and best present you could have received today was having your Nanna, Boofy, Papa AND Mimi here with you to celebrate your big day. ALL FOUR GRANDPARENTS!!!! Your first big occasion and you get to have the four of them here which made the day soooo much more special for Mummy and Daddy too to be able to celebrate our first year of being parents with both of our parents. :-)

Aunty Ang and I were busy the day before getting everything we needed for your party. Last minute shopping for food and then we did your cakes. I'm so your aunty could be here too. I couldn't have done what I did without her :-)

Mummy and Daddy were the only ones awake when you woke up on your birthday. We had all blown up balloons the night before ready for the morning. When you woke up we came in and filled your cot with balloons you were in heaven lol.

We then made pancakes for brekky. Friends of ours "The Whaleys" do this with their kids as a tradition and I loved it so we are going to do this for you and your future siblings :-) Pancake of the number you are turning that year :-)

Note your cute Birthday PJ's that Mimi brought especially from Florida for you to wear last night and wake up in on your special day!!! :-)

It had been raining on and off for the few days before your birthday. I had a spot in mind down at Avoca Lagoon that I really wanted to have your birthday at (Since i was pregnant I knew that's where I wanted it) but when I looked at the sky that morning i just had a feeling that we needed to change the venue as much as I was sad and disappointed. We did a quick venue change and BOY I'm glad we did. As soon as we got to Nanna and Boofys to set up it TEAMED!!! The rain was so heavy. If we risked it the whole party would have been ruined. The sun came out after that but it worked out perfect. Room for people to play and we hung out all day there.

You are one VERY LOVED little boy that is all I have to say! The day was amazing. We played we all were dressed up as pirates (Pirate Themed Party) and it was just so nice to be with the people who love you and have been in your life and a support to us as we became parents for the first time. What a celebration it was.

Aunty Bree couldn't come so she made sure she was there in spirit with her NUMEROUS pirate faces to photobomb.

Spencey and our very own Parrot :-P

The Prenatal Class Gang :-) Ivy, Dylan and the birthday boy.

Birthday boy, Silas and Rowan :-)

At 3:20pm when you were born a year ago I went to find you because that moment was playing out in my head of when I got to touch you and hold you for the first time. The moment I realised we had a little boy! It was well worth the wait of not knowing for the feeling I had meeting you for the first time.  I found you snuggled up with Daddy on the couch fast asleep. A year ago it was me who was holding you and welcoming you into the world, this year it was daddy (your best friend) holding you and sleeping with you. I couldn't be more honoured that sharing you and raising you with that man you call Daddy. Looking at the two of you filled my heart beyond words. I am one abundantly blessed woman!!!

Happy Birthday my handsome boy!!!! WE LOVE YOU!!

11 months + 3 weeks. The week you met your Mimi, Papa and Aunty Ang!!!!

The anticipation of this trip was in full force. We were all so excited for Mimi, Papa and Aunty Ang to meet you! They came out all the way from where your daddy grew up in Florida. They flew a long way just to come meet you and be here for your BIG FIRST BIRTHDAY BASH!!! Most precious time ever!

An early start for our little family to drive down to the airport to pick up our family :-)

Waiting for them to come out of customs you fell asleep lol. Great timing little man. We were praying you would wake up in time and you did. Right before they walked out you woke up :-)

The moment we had waited for - the first glance, the first hug, the first kiss. Brought tears to mummys eyes. :-)
The first family photo of many on this trip! They were here. You were hugged and you were smothered in kisses just the way it should be. :-) YAY

We took Mimi, Papa and Aunty Ang to Bondi for "Brunch" It was weird weather but we got in a quick walk down to the beach and back in the car before it rained. :-)
