First Solids

Hey there little man.

Well Mum went to Mothers Group yesterday (07.05.13) and realised all the babies are on solids. Since you have flourished on breast milk its been the last thing on my mind. You have been showing interest in what we ate for a few weeks now even grabbing daddys cup of water and wanting to not just suck on the outside but drink it just like dad. (note to self : even babies copy everything) So last night I made Shepherds Pie with Sweet Potato Mash on the top and i saved some for you. It was a family affair. :-P

4-5 Months Old

Easter Photos - Hannah and I went and took some Easter Photos of you and Silas down near Imperial Centre in Kibble Park. The two of you are so cute. :-) Im so glad you get to grow up with Silas. Ev and I grew up together so its fun to know you get to grow up with the kiddies of the people I grew up with. :-)

You also got your Big Boy carseat this month. I was actually surprised that you lasted as long as you did. :-P You fell asleep as soon as you went into it. I think you liked sitting up more and there are little cushions on the straps like your pram and you like them to rest your head on :-) The Before and After Shots of the day.

Mummy and Nanna hang out every Thursday with you. We do all different kinds of things. Sometimes we hang at home. Sometimes we go to Kibble Park to Byblos and have Lebanese for lunch. We have been hanging at Nannas lately with them sorting through the house getting rid of things and all that fun stuff. Your Mumma loves to CULL. Hayley and Aunty Mel came one day and Hayley is all into Stickers at the moments.. so you were covered. You didnt seem to mind. Hayley likes to read to you and talk to you. I dont think she understands why you cant talk back to her or run around just yet :-P We went and had lunch with Brett and Jude too in the Northern Beaches. (Nanna's brother and his wife) You skyped your Mimi and Papa too this month.

You started sleeping on your belly this month. I walked in and you were on your belly and not your back. I knew this day was coming but I was still like ahhh check his breathing. You actually seem to sleep so much better on your belly. You have always been an amazing sleeper. Since NYE (about 6 weeks) you went from feeding every 3ish hours at night to sleeping about 6 hours straight. Then when i realised babies cry in their sleep and i was probably waking you by picking you up you went to 10 in no time. Now you pretty much sleep 12 hours at night. We definately count ourselves BLESSED!!! During the day you still feed, play, sleep, play, feed, play, sleep, play, feed every 4 hours during the day. So you feed 4 x a day and have been for a while now. Obviously your content because your growing like a weed and you sleep well. I always say Mummy has Magic Milk. lol

This is how you like sleeping in daddys arms. Arm out and hanging. 

We have decided that one Saturday a month we are going to have a family day and we are going to go somewhere within about an hour from our house and go explore places we have never been. We had heard from Kylie about Caves Beach so we decided our first family outing would be there. We had a ball!! We had fish and chips by Swansea Bridge then we drove to Caves Beach which was just down the road. We both couldnt believe such an awesome place was only 45ish min from home and even I cant rememer ever being here and i grew up near here my whole life. Daddy took you into the caves and wanted to go through all these little caves by crawling through tight spaces. Mummy told him not too picturing you both getting stuck or you getting hurt lol. When your older this will defiantely be a place we bring you quite a bit. I can imagine you going on adventures with your dad through the caves. :-)

We forgot your hat so did made one from your shirt.... was it a success??? :-P

We drove Ma and Nanna down to Manly for their appointment with their doctor and we went for a good walk around Manly. I had never been further around from the beach and its gorgeous. We picked a flower for Nanna and when they got out we made them walk there again with us. We went and had lunch with Brett and Jude too at the pub in Dee Why. I enjoy this day. Its nice to get off the coast and to see your Aunty and Uncle.

You are addicted to Winnie (the Pooh). Whenever we wiggle him in front of you and you see him you go crazy and put your arms out . Its super cute. Where ever Mummy and you go I know i MUST take Winnie.

Nights I just love...

5.5.13

Little Man. There are some nights I go to bed feeling even more fulfilled and blessed and tonight was one of those nights. You are just coming out of your shell more and more everyday.
Your sucking your toes now.
You roll everywhere
You get the superman rock on your belly where your legs and arms go crazy (wonder how long it will be before you crawl)
You laugh at nothing now which does something inside my soul that just brings so much joy.
You have such a serious side to your little personality *from your dad* and then you have moments of complete goofyness *from your mum*
You like to rock when you are sitting on us. You havent got to the point of sitting on your own just yet but I also dont think thats too far away. We just make sure you dont fall over but you rock back and forth. Holding you is becoming a fun adventure with your wriggle bum.
You get cabin fever like me. Everyday we go for a walk or walk around the shops or see people. You smile at everyone and are sitting completely up in the pram now. You like to see everything.
Your smiles... oh your smiles.
You get a little shy at the moment. I dont know if its a game to you or not but you will look at someone smile then dig your face into my chest..
You are starting to really understand distance and how things work. The other day i was showing you in your room how if i moved the blind to the side the sun hits your face then let it go and it goes darker again. I did it three times and you were looking very intently.. then you did it yourself. Blew me away. I dont think I understand just what you can do when so im always amazed :-) *i just think your a genius ;-) hahaha
Everyday is such a fun adventure with you my gorgeous little man. You bring so much to mummy and daddys life.
Your parents always say they love you more than you could ever know and as soon as you came into this world we finally understood what they meant. You too will understand one day when you have your own baby. :-)
