6-7 months Teeth, Sitting and Sippy Cups

6-7 months old

I'm starting to realise that my baby is no longer a little baby. Your developing so quickly these days and growing so much too. Your face is looking less baby and more little boy, your personality has been coming out even more and I'm just amazed at how fast the time has gone. I don't want to blink because i feel like we will miss something. There is TV commercial at the moment for Pepsi Max and the parents are talking about how amazing this drink is and behind them is this little baby walking and doing handstands and flips and stuff and all while they are not paying attention and sometimes I walk in after leaving the room and i am preparing myself and think to myself that you might be crawling and not where i left you. That I will be like AHH where are you little man and i do not wanna miss those first crawls whether they are legit or a commando crawl :-P To be honest i hope that its still a while away because that will just be another reminder that my little man is getting older too quickly for this mama :-P

I guess i'm weird. I want time to slow down but at the same time i'm so excited to see you grow and experience more as a little family. Taking you to the park splashing in muddy puddles. Take you bike riding and all those fun things we can do.

Brooke was staying with us when you had your 6 month anniversary. She had been to NYC for her 30th and stopped her on her way home to New Zealand. We had a family dinner and had a cake which we made into a cake for her and for you :-)

You are enjoying mashed food. Mummy and Daddy are slowly getting more confident with giving you finger foods to chomp on. I am also getting used to the different between a gag and a choking noise ;-P you defiantely keep me on my toes. There isnt much we dont give you. You have had everything from mashed veggies, meat, pancakes, our brekky egg veggie and bacon muffins. There hasnt been anything you have really turned your nose up at or spat out apart from the powder meals we add water too from the shops. I think you can tell good food already haha. We use that in emergencies when we havent had time to make more food for you. I end up always needing to steam some pumpkin or sweet potato when we try to give you that. You love rusks too. Something to chew on with those teeth that have come through this month.

Mimi and Papa sent you this outfit. Your dad grew up with his nursery decorated in Pandas. The girls from church bought you a big panda that you can see in the middle bottom picture. You had fun this arvo as we took some piccies to send to Mimi of you in your outfit.

We went to visit "Big Nan" on your 6 month birthday. We had some appointments for Dad down in Woy Woy so we thought we would go and surprise Nan and see her. These photos are way precious to me. I will tell you more about your Nan as you grow up. I have sooooooo many of my favourite childhood memories with her and Pop. She loves seeing you. She has dimentia and is getting worse every time we see her it seems but she KNOWS about you. She forgets your name and daddys name but she knows your here and always asks about my gorgeous baby when she gets on the phone without me reminding her. She is 93 years old.

You little man make Mummy and Daddy laugh so much. You have such a fun loving hilarious little nature and we are loving and enjoying seeing you grow and change everyday. You are rolling every where. Now picking up speed too. You rolled about 3m yesterday continuously until you hit the wall then you looked at the wall as if to say "um excuse me cant you see i'm trying to get places." I dont know how long it will be til your crawling but you do love a good roll. Everything goes in the mouth. Your favourite toys would be Winnie the Pooh, and a musical toy that has all the different animals and their sounds when you push them.

Well coming into your 7 month you have 3 official teeth and i think the 4th one isnt too far off. You have two on the bottom and your top right one has coming through too the day before you turned 7 months. You are not too bad but you do bite Mummy when you are feeding every now and then. Thats not very nice lol. You look so cute with your little teeth though. I thought your gummy smile was cute but ahh you are sooo cute with your little bottom teeth. I cant imagine what you will look like with the top ones when they move down. I hope you dont grind your teeth because that gives Mummy the chills. :-P
You are not a bad teether. Before you had teeth you would have grizzly days and you were sooo drooley. We got you the amber teething necklace and I do think that helped with the drool BIG TIME. You wouldnt have known really that the bottom ones were coming. But the top one i think you were a little more grizzly becasue your bottom teeth would hit the tender spots up top and that hurt you more. You woke for the first time during the night since 2 1/2 months during this month becasue of your teeth. We put some Bonjela on your gum and that seemed to numb it enough you went straight back to sleep.

With you being on Solids now your poos have changed from breastmilk runny poos to paste. I had to laugh this morning when i took this picture. It was the first pastey poo your dad changed and he had all your clothes off for the event lol. Let me tell you.. this man has changed LOTS of your poopey nappies since you were born. He was the first one to put your first nappy on that little tooshie of your'se when you were born.

You are now sitting up. Your not super fussed with it but you will sit for a while then get bored and lay down with a thump. :-P

It was Daddys 26th birthday this month. You got to "Blow" out the candles with him.

Mummy and Daddy went on a date to see "Fast and the Furious 6" so you went to Nanna and Boofy's house. When you have a family one day you will need to remember to that its super important to have time out from your little babies with your wife. I loved just being able to hold daddys hand and have his arms around me :-P We love having you but i just realised that one of us are holding you or pushing a pram so i miss those moments holding his hand.

Here are some other pics from the month that was your 6-7th.

Skyping your Cousin Noah and Aunty Tiff and Uncle Daniel

Pretty sure Aunty Ali loves you lol

 So Swarve

Nothing sweeter than these little moments I get every now and then when i cant help but hold you when you sleep. I don't do it very often but oh how i treasure just looking at you. Note: I hate when people watch me sleep lol so i apologise if your like me in that.

STATE OF ORIGIN... FIRST WIN FOR THE BLUES of the year!!!

Learning and drinking water from a sippy cup without a valve.. your a pro.

Learning the meaning of GENTLE lol

You love playing on Mummy and Daddys bed... with all the pillows

Saturday Morning Cartoon snuggles with Daddy

Random photo but this makes me laugh... you were climbing on me and went straight for a meal i think... i had to walk around with a circle of drool on my shirt til it dried.

Playtime every night when Daddy gets home from work. This is Daddys favourite time of day.

Firsts - Lots of firsts in one weekend.

Ok. So here it goes. :-) 25th and 26th May 2013

Crystal Blankenship came over to Australia from Florida (Your very first Floridian guest from dads home to meet you)
We took her to the Reptile Park and the City so this was the start for ALOT of firsts for you. I wont write much in this post cos everything was a first for you but ill post lots of pics for you to see your first time patting animals and seeing aussie animals at the Reptile Park and also your first train ride and time to the city.
WE LOVE spending all these firsts with you. We know you wont remember them but we do and we are so blessed to be able to take 1000000s of photos for you to see when your older.

We took Crystal to Terrigal for fish and chips and walked around the headland/skillion. You had never been to the top of the skillion but have been to terrigal alot since you were born. The Haven was your first trip to the beach when you were a week old :-)

 You boys are my world.

Love our little family of 3. You are just so loved little man.

Looking back over to the Haven

We had to stop for you to pat a little puppy. You love dogs

You walking up with Dad to the top of the Skillion

This cheeky little face is what i LOVE seeing everyday. Taking in new experiences and loving life

 You and Crystal

Pretty sure you should have been taking a nap on our walk but no you were always peeking out looking around. Dont wanna miss a thing huh

After we went to Terrigal we drove up to The Reptile Park to show her some Aussie Animals and it was your first time too. Since we had you the people at the park were more inclined to come up to us with some of the animals you have to pay money to take a photo with and we got a few photos we would probably never gotten so that was exciting.

Daddy tried to feed you to the big croc... mummy saved you

 You met an owl

First glance at a kangaroo. While we were patting the Kangaroo you grabbed its fur and pulled it and the Kangaroo gently hit you on your hand. I jumped back thinking he was going to hit us more but he just laid there still. We laughed because you didnt seem fazed at all and we couldnt believe you got hit by a kangaroo the first time ever meeting one.

Being such a good boy in your pram :-)

You got to see a Koala

You got to pat a Wombat. Even Mummy had never seen one so close before our touched one.

 An Alligator

The very next day we went to the City. We went to get on the train and missed it so we drove to Hornsby Train Station and got one from there. This was your first time on a train. You will more than likely end up using the train ALOT in your life. :-) Like Mum and Dad you may end up commuting to the city to work when your alot older :-) It was such a gorgeous day. Its so close to winter but the days are warm and the nights are getting colder. You were such a great lil man taking everything in your stride and just enjoying the different scenery and people.

 First time on a train.

Train stopped at Milsons Point. So Daddy let you look out the door and you got to see the Harbour Bridge for the first time :-)

Walking through one of the Parks in the City

The QVB (Queen Victoria Building) There was a busker there that you loved looking at. We moved you further away and you sat forward so you could still see him.

 @ The Rocks

Your First visit to Pancakes on the Rocks! You went to the one in Campbelltown but this is the original and my FAVOURITE ;-)

 WOW thats the BRIDGE!

We loved having Crystal visit for 2 days :-)

On the train on the way home after a LONG day...

When we got home your Aunty Brooke (Who was out visiting from New Zealand dressed you up wtih a pink bow. I know you can totally handle that. She called you Eamonette.

What a weekend it was. Loved sharing all those fun memories with you!
