4-8 weeks
After Christmas it took us a little while to settle down again. There was so much happening and we were both so exhausted. So we spent the day after boxing day - NYE just laying low at home and enjoying being a little family. Laura and Cristiaen came and hung out we went and has your first fish and chip experience at Monte's down by the Gosford Waterfront. They also came and hung out for NYE down at the waterfront too. Nanna, Boof, Scott and CJ also came too. You did so well. You slept the whole time so mummy didnt have to try and feed you in the huge croud. Daddy walked home with you in his arms the whole way. You will know how long of a walk that is when you read this one day. We went home and waited up for the Sydney Fireworks thinking you were going to wake up for another feed. Lo and Behold this was the first night you slept for 7 hours straight for the first time. We got 3 hours of that sleep lol. We kept thinking of he will wake up soon and you just never did. I have learned. GO TO BED even if you think that. :-P
On New Years Day we ventured down to Thornleigh to introduce you to some of our favourite people. Kate, Mark, Lily, Eli and Baby Miles Jennings (who was in the womb). This was our first big trip with you going on the freeway. You were a little champ. I loved that I got to see Kate while she was pregnant and was so excited you got to meet them. We didn't stay long but it was sooo worth the trip. I cant wait for you and baby Miles you get to know each other and be good friends :)
Daddy was off work for another 2ish weeks at Christmas time. YAY!!! We didnt do heaps but we just did little day outings and just spent the time being a little family of 3. I would go out on my own to go and get food or something and I would come back and find you with your dad in this position alot. I'm sure your going to learn very early on the art of the computer and games. Your dad would buy you a computer now if he could lol.
You really starting to smirk and smile this month. Your facial expressions continue to make us laugh.
In January we had a heatwave where we had the hottest day ever on record. I didnt even want to take you outside but we quickly made a dash for the car and went to Aunty Mel's house and we spent the day with Mel and Hayley. It was so hot that you were feeding every 2 hours. I swear i burnt 10000 calories that day from how often you fed :-P We had a pretty lazy day but it was our goal to just survive and wait to go and get daddy from work so he didnt have to ride his bike home on such a hot day. You will get used to hot days here in summer.
Here is an article all about it :
